PROGRAM
David Zwirner's most ambitious online project to date, Program presented never-before-seen and historic works in a new global live-streaming event, transporting viewers directly into David Zwirner’s galleries in New York, London, Paris, and Hong Kong.
Featuring curated installations in each space, this series of live video walkthroughs and interactive discussions with artists, curators, and art-world enthusiasts translated the energy of an in-person art-fair experience into the online space. During each broadcast, visitors could interact with guest speakers and ask questions in real time.
As one of several leads for the project, I was responsible for ensuring that the visual presentation of this debut was of utmost quality, working alongside the Photography, Digital, and Creative teams to bring new developments and features to the gallery's online audience.
Fine-tuning these developments involved thorough collaboration with the gallery’s in-house Digital Team in the months leading up to the project's debut. These advancements, while developed with Program in mind, have had a lasting impact on all future David Zwirner Online projects.
“[So] much of history is presented as fact . . . at the disservice of truth . . . The truth is much more about the fidelity to the experience . . . of what history actually was.”¹
